Our story
Built On Trust, One Transmission at a Time
Getting mechanical work done can be stressful: you never know if you can trust the shop. That's exactly the reputation we've built our business against. Whether it's a full transmission rebuild or a tricky diagnostic other shops couldn't crack, we take the time to find the real problem and fix it right, backed by a warranty on our work. Owner Angel and the crew have earned a name for tackling the jobs other shops turn away, from rebuilding transmissions on older trucks to troubleshooting stubborn issues until they're solved. We keep customers in the loop throughout the repair, so there are no surprises, just a vehicle that runs like new. We're proud to be the shop Merced drivers recommend to family and friends, with 85 reviews and a 4.6-star rating to show for it.
- Warranty on transmission rebuilds
- Loaner vehicles available

What customers say
“My son needed a new transmission on his older truck. He did research and found this place. The owner seemed knowledgeable and confident he could do the job. It took a bit but now his truck is running better than a brand new truck! It's a relief to know we found a business of integrity to complete the work and deliver an excellent results with a warranty.”
“Thank you to the Angel and the guys at extreme transmission for getting my 92 chevy back on the road. They had a few issues with the transmission. But they took care of it and were even willing to provide me with a rental. They went above and beyond.”
“I've come here for a few years. Always a good experience. Quick but efficient, honest and reliable. Definitely would recommend to try this shop out. It's hard to find a trust worthy mechanic.”
